St Andrews International School Bangkok welcomed the visiting moderator to mark GCSE Art and Photography. Here are some shots of the exhibition.

On 11 June we opened an exhibition of work by Year 11 GCSE Artists and Photographers. The main purpose of the exhibition was to showcase the students’ coursework and examination work for assessment by the senior moderator from Edexcel Exam Board. As expected she was very impressed with the standard of work and noted in particular that students were confident in choosing creative directions for themselves. This was clearly evident in sketchbooks and photography portfolios, on show alongside exhibition pieces. The Art Department was delighted to hear that the visiting moderator’s praise for the photography work, which she described as ‘very exciting’.

On Wednesday 19 June you are invited to come to the 7th floor of the Blue building to see EXPO 2019, a retrospective of student art and photography work from the past year. This also promises to be very exciting.

Artist of the Week

Our Artist of the Week is Vir in Year 9, who has created a humourous, postmodern version of an old master, using Photoshop. A wonderful finale to this year’s ‘Artist of the Week’ gallery.
