As is traditional, last Monday was an exciting morning in Foundation Stage and KS1 as we held the Annual Class Swap. Even though the children have been doing transition activities for a number of weeks, it is still exciting for children to head off together to find out about their new classroom and teacher.
All teachers reported happy children, who then spent the rest of the week re-introducing themselves to their new teachers and seeking out new friends to play with.
Of course, with year groups all collaborating so closely with each other, in reality, other than new students who will join us, the children already know each other very well.
The new parents also had the opportunity to find out more about how the school operates, and a big thank you to current parents and PTG members who came along to make themselves available for questions.
The FS 3 End Of Year Show
We were treated to a fabulous finale to FS3 last week as the children amazed us with their confidence and independence with their toe-tapping end of year show. They danced, sang and narrated their way through an exciting Toy Story adventure to prove to everyone that they are certainly ready for the challenges of KS1. Quite how they managed to remember all of that content is amazing, but I put a lot of it down to teamwork and thinking on your feet if things don’t quite go according to plan! A big thank you and congratulations to everybody who helped out to make the show such a resounding success.
