Loy, Loy Krathong
Families new to St Andrews are this week in for a treat. On Friday this week (30th October), as always, we will be celebrating Loy Krathong in school with assemblies celebrating this Thai festival. Children should come to school wearing traditional Thai costumes. For those new to the school or new to Thailand, below is an example of what to wear. The costumes are available for a reasonable price at local markets.
All children will be taking part in Loy Krathong Activities across the week and there will be a series of KS1 & KS2 assemblies on Friday - featuring Year 4 musicians. Timings are as follows :
Year 1 and 2 - 8.15 - 8.45
Year 3 and 4 - 9.15 - 9.45
Year 5 and 6 - 10.30 -11.00
Similar to International Day Assemblies, there will be some limited seating available for parents who would like to see the assemblies.
