Children should come to school wearing traditional Thai costumes. For those new to the school or new to Thailand, below is an example of what to wear. The costumes are available for a reasonable price at local markets.

All children will be taking part in Loy Krathong Activities across the week and there will be a series of KS1 & KS2 assemblies on Friday - featuring Year 4 musicians. Timings are as follows :

Flu Vaccination Programme

Vaccine

Many of you will know that for a number of years, we have been hosting a Flu Vaccination Programme for our school community. Last year, we were pleased to report that over 500 people in our school community received the flu vaccination in school- 221 STA staff and 228 students and parents.

This year’s Flu Vaccination Programme will be held on Friday 27th November between 1 pm and 4 pm in the Drama Studio at the Primary Campus. The programme, in collaboration with Samitivej Hospital, will be open to all members of the family at a price of 590 baht per shot.

How to register

The programme is popular, and this year we anticipate will be even more so. To make sure we have ordered enough vaccines please complete the form below to register. A form must be completed for each person who is to receive the vaccine.

With parental consent, High School students may take the shuttle bus over to Primary at 2.30pm to receive their vaccination independently.

Guidelines for Children Under 9

Children under 9 years of age who have never been vaccinated against the flu before will need to have a second shot from their pediatrician at least four weeks after the first. This needs to be arranged separately. If this is carried out at Samitivej, you will still get this for the discounted price of 590 Baht.

On the day
Parents/Guardians should arrive on the day with all necessary forms completed and with the payment ready

Children must be taken for the vaccination by a parent or guardian. Children can be picked up from class between 1 pm and 2.30 pm. They should not return to class after their vaccination.

Following the shot must be taken home and, as with any vaccination, be monitored. Additional shuttle buses are running from High School at 2:30 pm, and with parental consent, High School students can come to Primary School for the vaccination independently.
