Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1: Guess who is having a Spa Day?

Last week was an International Day to remember. We have a lot to look forward this week to as our Year 1 Spa Day and FS3 Highland Games commence.

What a whirlwind of a week! Mrs. Diane

Last week saw an incredible amount of activities happening in school to celebrate the truly International make-up of our community. The children enjoyed songs, crafts and food as they ‘travelled around the world’ with their teachers. There were special assemblies for each year group with Y1 and Y2 children this year sharing the honour of flying the country flags.

The music and dancing were, as usual, outstanding, and the children made us really proud.

The PTG did a fantastic job, along with the Estates Team, setting up the food hall on Friday. For a lot of the children, this was the highlight of the week so thank you for all of your contributions, and the time and effort involved in the organisation. We will be sharing photographs and videos of events later this week.

We are international kids

We still have the excitement of Y1 Spas this week, so I am looking forward to relaxing and being pampered along with Y1 parents! The week will finish with a flourish as the children in FS3 take part in our annual Highland Games Competition, so we look forward to the meeting of the clans.

We would like to wish you all a great Half Term break. The children have had a busy few weeks and must be ready for a good rest.
