Primary School held its first Health & Wellbeing Week to coincide with the Children's Mental Health Week initiative in the UK. As well as learning about the importance of mental health in assemblies and PSHE lessons, students had access to a range of fun activities at break and lunchtimes to promote all aspects of wellbeing. These included yoga, mindfulness, peer massage, friendship bracelets, positive affirmations, gratitude journals, self-love and acceptance chains, art, musical fun, singing, physical fitness and more!

The children had lots of fun and we hope this will become a bigger event to include all members of our school community in future years.

We welcome our friends from the Emergency Services

For a number of years, one of the highlights of the second term has been a visit from the Emergency Services. This fits in with the Y2 Superhero topic but is also enjoyed by other year groups in school including the children in Foundation Stage. This year the ambulance was supplied by Bumrungrad Hospital, whose staff provided the children with a very interactive experience. Thank you also to the Fire Service for their exciting demonstrations.

Another exciting event that is coming up in March is the Annual Book Week, which brings with it the Famous Book Character Parade.

Our STA EcoBeasts continue their efforts  to encourage us to be sustainable. This year If you have costumes that children have outgrown or just don’t wear anymore, they can be donated to school for House Points. These costumes will then be sold at discount prices and all money raised sent to Australian Wildlife charities to support their recovery from the devastating wildfires.

Leavers Survey

Today you should have received an email from the school office containing a link to the Leavers Survey.

This survey goes out annually at this time to ensure that all children currently studying at St Andrews, have their places confirmed for the next academic year prior to us offering places to new families.

Please complete the survey as soon as you can so that we can start to build well-balanced class lists for next year. If at this time your family's circumstances make you unable to confirm your intentions at this time, please advise our Primary Admissions Team:

Air Visual - Important information

Several parents have been contacting the school to inform us that there seems to be an issue with the Primary School monitoring data. Recently, we switched the device which we use to broadcast as we recognised that there was a discrepancy between the data produced by this and the data from other devices in the local area. It appears that some of you are still seeing the data from the old device within the app (currently showing an AQI reading of 27). Please try refreshing the app to display the new data. We have contacted Air Visual to help with this issue. Until they have fixed it, please use the readings on Moodle which shows the live data from our broadcasting devices on both the Primary and High School Campuses.
