Heads Lines: Closely monitoring the situation.

We continue to monitor the situation with the MOE and OPEC. It's not too late to voice your views on the NAE Parents Survey and let's stay on top of our Health & Travel Declarations Forms.

I hope everyone has had a good week. The school continues to stay in contact with the Ministry of Education and OPEC, and we remain hopeful that we will get permission for our school to reopen its doors on the 1st February. The relaxation of restrictions last week which allowed for more businesses to open is a positive sign, and with the COVID infection rate trending downwards and hopefully reducing further in the coming week, we expect to receive full permission to reopen as planned. As soon as the school has any confirmed information from the appropriate government bodies, we will immediately relay this to our school community.

Health & Travel Declaration Form

In anticipation of a positive decision to open the school, all families within our community are requested to update their Health & Travel Declaration Form. If the school is allowed to open, there will certainly be strict conditions attached. The important information collected from this form will go a long way towards allowing students back on campus, so please take the time to update it, or complete it for the first time if you are new to St Andrews.

Nord Anglia Education (NAE) Parents Survey.
At present the completion rate of the NAE Parents Survey is just under 20% - a significant drop compared to the last few years’ participation. To ensure we collect the most relevant and meaningful data to guide us on the direction of future school development, it is essential to have as high a percentage of our school community’s input and feedback as possible.

I can certainly appreciate how busy and even tired of having to do so much online, but it would be beneficial for everyone that the right conclusions are drawn from this survey of parents' feelings about our school.

This survey will only take about 15 minutes to complete, and is completely anonymous with the answers going directly to the central organising team of NAE. This team analyses each school’s responses to the questions and feeds their findings back to the school to enable us to put in place improvement plans that will directly address the main areas of concerns.

Please take the time to complete this survey by clicking on this link, so that we can have a full picture of what the school needs to undertake to further support you and your children.

School Calendar

Our school will follow the recently updated school calendar that has been shared with our school community and which is available on our school website. For your convenience, you can find the updated school calendar for 2020-2021 here.
