First, we had children thinking about types of transport and if they travelled in the ‘Air’ or on the ‘Land’, the children in both Starfish class and Seahorses were able to sort them on the Interactive Whiteboard.

Children also had the opportunity to make Planes out of different resources such as Stickle brix, Unifix cubes and the Soft Lego.

Later on in the week the children decorated planes made out of Lollipop sticks, once they were dry children took them for a run down ‘The Runway’ in the Outdoor area.

Some of the children flew Paper planes around the Outdoor area, others flew helicopters and planes in their classrooms. All the children were fully engrossed in flight for the whole week!
