After completing TESOL certification at the University of Toronto – Global College, I worked as a primary teacher for nearly 4 years. My teaching experience in Beijing has provided me with the cultural and metalinguistic awareness needed to better teach and help my students. In 2019, I completed my Cambridge CELTA qualification.
I obtained my BA in Governance (Honours) from Ryerson University, Toronto, and a Masters in International and Public Affairs from the University of Ottawa, Canada. Prior to working in the field of international education, I worked in international business, managing B2B projects between Canada and African countries. During and after my studies, I volunteered as a board member for a non-profit organisation supporting the settlement and integration of young immigrants and refugees to Canadian society.
As a multicultural and polyglot person, I enjoy travelling, discovering new cultures and learning new languages. I also enjoy cooking with friends and family, reading, photography and running.
