Craig started his teaching career in South Africa in 1987 after completing compulsory military service. He remained in South Africa firstly as a Head of Department, then Deputy Head of Primary before leaving South Africa as a Principal to work in the UK as a teacher. In 2001, he moved into international education at an international school in Botswana before moving to Budapest in 2010 as a Primary school teacher and then a member of the Primary Leadership Team. He has been a member of three CIS school accreditations as well as two IB authorisations. He is currently Deputy Head of Primary and Head of Learning Technologies at BISB.
Craig joined Nord Anglia Education in 2010 at the British International School, Budapest as a Primary teacher before becoming a coordinator for ICT in the Primary school. He completed the Middle Leaders Programme through the National College and Warwick University in 2012. He has been fortunate enough to have attended three NAE Regional Conferences as well as two Apple Challenge workshops.
Craig is passionately driven and excited to be working in international education that has the freedom and power to embody what is best for its students. He believes that when technology is used correctly in the classroom it is a powerful learning tool and can really personalise learning effectively for students. He enjoys being part of the multi-cultural learning community at BISB at the ‘cutting edge’ of 21stcentury evidence-based education.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and travelling to all the wonderful sites in Europe.
