Zoë began her teaching career in England, where she is originally from, in 2003. She has been teaching internationally for the last eight years and has also worked in Brunei, the USA and China. Previously to that she taught in England and was an Early Years Advisor, raising standards in nurseries across the East of England.
Zoë has been teaching with Nord Anglia Education (NAE) since 2015 in Chicago, USA, and more recently in Chengdu, China. She was delighted to continue her teaching career with NAE, joining BISB in 2021. Whilst in Chengdu, Zoë was leading on NAE initiatives, alongside teaching Early Years students. This included our unique Global Campus and UNICEF programs and leading on professional development as part of our Nord Anglia University program for teachers. Zoë has also worked collaboratively with our NAE schools in India on various projects. Recently, Zoë was awarded Advanced Certified Global Campus Teacher status in recognition of her contribution to Global Campus Junior online content. Zoë is an internationally accredited mindfulness for children teacher, as well as a children’s yoga teacher.
Zoë has a real passion for working within Early Years. She is committed to giving children the best possible start to their education, enabling them to become happy, confident and independent learners. Her practice is firmly rooted in learning through play. Zoë believes that every child is individual and that building upon each child’s needs and interests supports them in achieving their full potential. One of her passions is teaching children about the world and empowering them to make it a better place. She was delighted to be certified as a National Geographic Educator in 2018.
