Charmaine first started her teaching career as an SEN teacher at a secondary school in the Borough of Ealing and then after successfully completing her PGCE, in 2000, went on to teach in a primary school for the Borough of Westminster. After London she took up her first international post at BISB and she has now been part of the Nord Anglia ever since.
Having been part of NAE for so long, Charmaine has taken full advantage of the opportunities offered through Nord Anglia University and completed several online courses and attended several training courses to help her on-going development as an educator.
Charmaine is a dedicated primary teacher who strives to create a happy and safe learning environment. Her ambition is to encourage a sense of curiosity and a love for learning in children, as well as helping them develop a sense of empathy and responsibility towards their immediate community and the world in general. Charmaine believes that since today’s children are tomorrow’s future, they must be equipped to be good problem solvers and later on, people who will make educated and ethical decisions throughout their lifetime.
In her spare time, Charmaine enjoys spending time with her family, visiting art museums, attending classical music concerts and going to the opera. She also enjoys visiting the Hungarian flea markets looking for antiques and interesting furniture, ornaments and paintings. Charmaine also enjoys travelling and visiting her extended family abroad.
