Meet our Year 2 teachers.
Year 2 Blueberry Teacher
Ms Newson has pursued two interconnected careers: having first studied Education and Modern Languages, she returned to university to gain a degree in Linguistics and also a PGCE. This means that besides many years teaching Primary, she has also been able to teach EAL. She conducted research and was a lecturer at the Universities of Reading and Hertfordshire in the UK and has a special interest in language development in children (native, bilingual and non-native speakers) and linguistics for education, for example development and support of reading skills in small children using the widely successful Oxford Reading Tree scheme.

Ms Kurcz studied at the Teacher Training College in Esztergom, Hungary and after successfully graduating, she spent a year in the UK, working as a cover teacher in a small private school. Upon her return to Budapest, Ms Kurcz completed a CELTA course and began working in a language school as an English teacher. She joined The British International School Budapest in 2011.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Holeczy has a BA degree in Business and Music as well as an MA degree in Primary Education. He taught for two years in Budapest before joining our school to cover a maternity leave. Mr. Holeczy comes from a family of educators; his grandparents were teachers in Budapest.

Ms Seres was born in Budapest, and she did all her studies here.
When she completed the Grammar School(Petofi Sandor, Budapest) she decided to challenge herself and joined an organisation called Community Service Volunteers and went to Britain. She spent half a year in London, and another half in Colchester helping disabled people.
