Caroline started her teaching career in 1991, as a teacher of English as an additional language at the College of Catering and Trade in Budapest. She took up a post with the International Red Cross in the region in 1995, continuing to work with young people through her involvement with the regional Red Cross youth programme. After working with organisational development, human resource and training issues for the Red Cross, she returned to teaching in 2005, taking up a post at the British International School of Budapest (BisB). During her time at BisB, Caroline has worked primarily in Key Stage 1 and joined the Primary Leadership Team in 2014.
Caroline has taken full advantage of all the professional development opportunities offered through Nord Anglia University and embarked on the Middle Leadership Programme in 2015.
Caroline is committed to the ideals and principles of educating global citizens and sees her work as helping to develop children who take care of themselves, each other and the world around them. She is keen to make connections with the local community and to ensure that we are ambitious in reaching out to others and learning about different perspectives in life.
In her spare time, Caroline enjoys keeping fit and is a keen dancer. She enjoys exploring contemporary dance techniques at workshops. She also takes advantage of the amazing cultural opportunities available in Budapest and is a frequent visitor to the Trafo Cultural Centre.
