Lucy Croft

Lucy Croft

English and Drama Teacher

BA (Hons) English Literature and Language, University of Manchester

PGCE Secondary English, University of Bristol

Lucy started her teaching career in Bristol, UK, teaching English at KS3, GCSE and A Level. As an Advanced Skills Teacher she worked across a group of local schools, supporting teachers and heads of department. Lucy then worked as Head of English at another Bristol school, before moving overseas in 2014. Her first international teaching post was Head of English at a Nord Anglia school in Vietnam. Here she gained experience teaching the International Baccalaureate.

Lucy aims to nurture her students, building self esteem and encouraging a love of reading. She believes that education must be inspiring and challenging, and enjoys the opportunities to delve into texts that will stimulate debate and encourage students to question their own viewpoints.

Lucy has two young children, and enjoys spending as much time outdoors with the family as she can. She has a keen interest in the natural world and is a trained yoga teacher.
