Andrea originally trained as a chartered accountant then later as a mathematician. She studied and worked in the Netherlands and UK. In the UK, Andrea worked at a language school providing support and guidance in their financial department as well as teaching English. On finishing her first Masters, she taught Mathematics and Economics at a local and later at an international school while also working as an IFRS consultant for a bank. Andrea’s most recent post was as a full time teacher of Mathematics and Economics in an international school.
Andrea is very passionate about financial literacy. She believes it should be accessible and taught in all schools and at all levels to enable students to become independent, critical thinkers who will be able to make insightful financial decisions in every aspects of their lives.
Andrea is enthusiastic about languages, she is currently learning Russian, Italian and recently took up German too in order to inspire and help her daughter with her studies. Andrea likes all kind of sports, her regular activities include jogging and TRX at a local gym.
