Jamie Wilson

Jamie Wilson Mathematics Teacher

Mathematics Teacher

MSc Applied Mathematics, University of Glasgow

PGCE Secondary Mathematics, University of Glasgow

Jamie has been teaching Mathematics in Glasgow for 10 years across all levels of the Scottish curriculum and is looking forward to working in an international setting.  Jamie has been heavily involved in international education in his previous roles through leading a partnership with a school in Malawi.

Jamie joined BISB in August 2017.

Jamie’s passion for learning and continuous development applies not only to the pupils under his charge but also to himself.  Leading by example, Jamie is currently in the process of completing his second Masters degree, this time in Educational Studies. Specialising his studies on negative attitudes towards Mathematics he appreciates the importance of ensuring pupils are positively engaged with the subject and that they enjoy their learning of Mathematics.

In his spare time Jamie is an avid hill walker and back in Scotland has been trying to walk all the Munros.  In the past few years he converted his campervan which he then drove through 7 different countries.  Sadly the campervan did not come to Budapest with him but he is looking forward to exploring none the less!  Jamie has a passion for travel and the outdoors.
