Jonathan began his teaching career in 2013 after volunteering to teach in Palestinian Schools in 2012. After two years in a Catholic school in Manchester, Jonathan took up a teaching post at a British School in Kuwait. In Kuwait he was promoted to Second in Department of a team of fifteen.
The British School of Kuwait joined NAE in 2017 and since then Jonathan has taken advantage of the professional development opportunities provided by the Nord Anglia University. Jonathan moved to BISB in 2018.
Jonathan is committed to raising the achievement through innovative practice. His lessons are consistently engaging, incorporating games and activities that encourage students to discover mathematical relationships and properties for themselves. Jonathan adopts a constructivist pedagogical methodology that engages students using relevant real-life scenarios, inclusive differentiation and meaningful practice.
In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys attending classical music concerts and recitals. As an avid musician he spends much of his time playing and listening to classical music and jazz. He enjoys keeping fit through regular swimming and cycling, as well as exercising his mathematical thinking through German logic table-top games.
