Richard began his teaching career in London where he worked at state schools, taking on roles such as Assertive Mentor and Second in Charge of Mathematics. After 5 years in London Richard took on his first international role in a leading British International School in Kuala Lumpur where he stayed for 3 years. He moved to a newly established British International School in Dubai (with strong links to its sister school in the UK) where alongside teaching mathematics he took on the role of Head of House.
Richard enjoys creating an environment where complex mathematics can be seen as elegant, exciting, creative and most importantly, accessible. He firmly believes that students should always be testing, collaborating and discovering.
In his spare time Richard enjoys playing sports, particularly enjoying football and running. He also enjoys travelling and spends as much time as he can exploring new places with his family.
