Alex believes that an integrated and connected approach to education is essential in developing future generations capable of embracing global citizenship. In her previous school, she initiated a 'Philosophy for Children' programme which was designed to challenge younger students’ viewpoints, while developing tolerance and respect for each other's perspectives. Alex believes that each educational role, from teaching in the IB Programme to working with students in DofE, plays an essential part in developing thoughtful young people who can approach challenges and adversity with resilience.
In her spare time, Alex loves to be outside exploring with her husband and two children. Hiking, skiing, running, cycling and camping are all on the list of favourite pastimes. Her favourite country in the world so far is Oman, having explored and camped from Yemen to Muscat.
