Peter Rosie

Primary Music Teacher

BA (Hons) Music (Jazz Pathway) Leeds College of Music

PGCE  Teacher Training Pre –Service Huddersfield University

After Peter completed his PGCE he worked in various schools in the South Yorkshire area of the UK, working one to one with students with Special Education Needs and as a cover supervisor. Before joining BISB Peter taught Primary Music at another international school, where he was appreciated for his dedication and capacity to inspire his students.

Peter believes that when the arts are present in communities and at the forefront of people’s minds this is a strong indicator that a society is functioning to its highest potential. He strongly believes that music encourages students to engage in a more effective thinking processes, allowing them to develop their creative and evaluative skills on a regular basis. Peter endeavours to provide a learning environment that allows students to further their ambition in order to flourish in all areas of their lives.

Music will always remain Peter’s primary passion and love but in his spare time he also remains as active as possible. Currently he is aiming to transition from weightlifting to endurance sports in the near future. Peter enjoys reading philosophy and classic literature and has been listening to various titles from ‘the Great Courses’ series as of late.
