MA English Language and Literature with a Teaching Degree - Pazmany Peter Catholic University

MA Communications (Electronic Media) - Pazmany Peter Catholic University

PgDip - Additional Support for Learning (Specific Learning Difficulties) - Moray House School of Education, The University of Edinburgh

Qualified Teacher Status - The General Teaching Council for England

Anna started her career as an EAL teacher in a private language school in Budapest in 2004. In January 2005 she joined BISB as a Teaching Assistant but soon her thirst for adventure lead her to London, UK. She was awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and secured a Learning Support Assistant position at a Westminster primary school. The following year she was promoted to teacher status working as a Learning Support Teacher, PPA Cover Teacher and Music Coordinator for the next 3 years.

After her move to the Lake District, she was appointed as a SENCO - Special Educational Needs Coordinator- at a primary school in Ulverston, Cumbria. She thoroughly enjoyed developing the SEN/EAL Department, which provided her with tremendous breaths of experience and a deeper insight to the practice of Inclusive Education.

After 9 years of living in England she moved back to Hungary in 2014 and returned to BISB as a Learning Support Teacher.

Anna believes in a holistic view of children, and encourages pupils to develop a holistic view of the world that surrounds them. Appropriately personalised and structured guidance coupled with freedom of choice and independence are the main ideals that underpin her teaching philosophy.

After a 20-year-long gap, Anna has recently decided to take up piano practice at weekends. She is planning to enrich her classical repertoire with the works of Chopin, Haydn and Bartok. She does painting as another form of relaxation and self-expression; her favourite themes are mythological figures and portraits.

Her third hobby is creative writing. Up until now she has only written pieces for the drawer though, with the secret desire for sharing some of her writing with others at some point, always thinking it is `better late than never`.
