After leaving school, Csilla qualified as an insurance administrator before completing her degree in Primary teaching at Budapest Teacher Training College. She then went on to gain an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Pécs. After teaching English at MÁV Tisztképző Intézet and then Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Primary School in Budapest, Csilla moved to BISB in 2000. Initially she was employed as a Learning Support Assistant and Hungarian Culture teacher but in 2016 she was delighted to move back into an English teaching role. Csilla is now a Key Stage 1 EAL teacher at BISB.
Csilla believes that EAL for young children is very much at the heart of international education. Allowing children to gain linguistic security and confidence in their learning helps them to flourish in all aspects of school life. Children can feel more themselves, despite working in a language that is, in many cases, relatively new to them. Facilitating student confidence with EAL is a key part of students being ambitious at BISB.
In her spare time, Csilla enjoys yoga, Zumba and spending time with her young family.
