Charlotte started her teaching career in South Manchester, working first in a small Catholic school and later in a large comprehensive school in Stockport. After three years of teaching in the UK she moved to her first international post at a British school in Kuwait teaching French, German and Spanish.
Charlotte joined the British School of Kuwait in 2015 and enjoyed teaching in the Middle East for three years. The British School of Kuwait joined NAE in 2017, and this meant becoming part of a global network of successful schools and allowed Charlotte the opportunity to continue her career with NAE in Hungary.
Charlotte seeks to promote inquisitiveness and ambition in her language learners, opening up communicative space to engage all learners in spontaneous interaction. She draws upon all aspects of the target language culture to bring the language to life. Her lessons regularly involve games, music, and lots of student participation, to cater for different learning styles and maximise students’ engagement with the language.
Charlotte is a keen musician and linguist. In her free time, she enjoys learning new languages, singing with her choir and playing violin in orchestras and ensembles.
