Vikram - Meet Chicago Real Kids

BISC-LP Year 3 student featured in a new book!

Our very own BISC Lincoln Park, Year 3 student Vikram K. is featured in the newly released childrens book, “Lets Meet Chicago Real Kids in the Windy City’’ by author, Alina Dizik and illustrator, Sonja Oldenburg.

Vikram's Page

Dizik's new book highlights diversity and customs through the eyes of “real kids” living in Chicago. Vikram was interviewed for this book right after he brought home 4 medals from the 2019 AAU Junior Speed-Stacking Olympics in North Carolina. He felt so grateful and proud to have a personal interview with the author in his home and to talk about his love of speed-stacking and life in general, growing up in Chicago!

We love celebrating student accomplisments, but especially when they are tied to social action. Part of the proceeds from sales of this book go towards supporting local charities of the childrens' choice. We share in Vikram's excitement over this amazing opportunity and wish him continued success with his speed-stacking endeavors!
