We had a fantastic week of performances at MK!
Year 4-6 Production - Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies
On Sunday evening, a sell out crowd were treated to a wonderful performance from our Years 4 to 6 students. We were transported into the depths of Sherwood Forest and discovered the hilarious truth behind the legend of Robin Hood. We were treated to fantastic songs and dancing too!
The students have worked tirelessly over the last two terms with after school and weekend rehearsals ensuring they were able to deliver their absolute best. It was a delight to see the students perform with smiles on their faces, even through minor technical hitches. We want all of our children to be ambitious, resilient and risk-takers – exact traits our cast members displayed.
A special thanks to our wonderful team - most notably to Miss Bastone, Mrs Brasch and Mr Basulto for their direction; Mr Ramirez and Mr Genobana for their technical support and to our parents for supporting their children throughout the rehearsals and performance. A truly spectacular event!
To celebrate World Poetry Day we hosted a Poetry Recital last Wednesday evening. Students from Years 1 to 13, teachers and parents shared their love of poetry through a series of performances of original pieces and reciting old favourites. The confidence that our Primary students displayed was awe-inspiring and I know that every member of the audience left with an even deeper appreciation of Poetry as an art form.
Many thanks to Mrs Firth and Mrs Harrison for organising such a wonderful event.
