Madinat Khalifa Year 4 Bake Sale

On Wednesday Year 4 carried out a Bake Sale to buy food items for the charity 2^nd Chance Animal Rescue. This was the second part of our entry point for the new IPC topic ‘Land, Sea and Sky’. Throughout the week, children utilised their entrepreneurial skills to create posters and price lists for the sale, before bringing in cakes and buns that they had make at home. The selection of confectionary was fantastic, only matched by the children’s enthusiasm and business acumen! Following a frantic thirty minutes of selling, the children raised over 1300 Riyals for the charity! Quite simply an incredible amount. In return, the shelter will send us photos of the animals progress and will be bringing them to visit the Spring Fete on 21^st April. Thank you to all children and staff who helped make it a success and also to their parents for their valued support and bakery skills!
