The Juilliard School Artist Visit

As part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, we are able to take advantage of partnerships with leading institutions such as UNICEF, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and The Juilliard School. This week we had a visit from Raphael Peacock, a Curriculum Specialist in Drama, award-winning actor, director and choreographer. Raphael worked with students across the school and also led a workshop for our teachers on how to best incorporate drama activities into the curriculum.  Both our students and staff spoke positively about Raphael’s visit and we look forward to his next visit in March.

Year 1 Assembly

On Thursday, Year 1 treated us to a wonderful showcase of their International Primary Curriculum learning. The students shared what they had learnt about celebrations from around the world. This included songs, dancing, drama and fantastic artwork. Well done to Year 1 for such a fun and informative assembly!

MK School Social

Last weekend saw our first Friends of Compass School (FCS) MK School Social. This was a lovely event which included performances from our community choir, food, crafts and uniform sales and a range of sporting activities. Many thanks to our FCS for organising and we look forward to more events in the future.

Have a great week,

Jimmy Frawley,

Head of Primary, Madinat Khalifa
