Dear All,

First of all, could I take this opportunity to thank those parents that helped organise and run the fantastic sports event this weekend.  All involved had a great time and we look forward to the next event where we can come together as a community.  If you would like to be part of the Friends of Compass School please contact Laura Anderson Rice our Deputy Head.

We had a packed out Sports Hall last week for our Year 9 Options Evening.  We heard out the school is performing to academically string standards, but also gives the opportunity to students to develop their character.  As well as being able to speak to teachers regarding the plethora of courses available at IGCSE, they were able to look at the standards of work and speak to students currently studying the course.  There are some tough decisions ahead and we will be counselling the students to ensure that they make the right decisions for them now and for their future studies.

We have many events and opportunities upcoming.  This week we have the American Military Band coming in to perform.  We then look forward to the school’s performance of Annie on 10 and 11 March, the Spring Fete on the 16 March and the Poetry Evening on the 20 March.

Yours sincerely,

Tom Douch
