World Peace Day 2019

On Thursday, 19 September our school celebrated World Peace Day with special assemblies at each campus.

  • World Peace Day Gharaffa 2019

Our students were asked to reflect on peace around the world and how we can make our school a peaceful community, linking to our focus on the UNICEF Global Goals for Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. The theme for 2019 is peace through climate change.
Children at each campus performed the song ‘This Day of Peace’ as part of One Day One Choir, a global choral project for peace. Our students joined thousands of other children around the world in singing this song to celebrate World Peace Day.

Above you can find a video and picture from our Gharaffa campus from this very special day.
