Nicholas Lenoci

Advisory Board Member

EVP of Business Development & COO

Strome Networks

Nick has a diverse entrepreneurial background that includes experience in several different functions: finance, business development, operations and the last 22 years overseeing sales and marketing groups in the telecommunications industry.

Currently, Nick has been tasked with the challenge of expanding and growing the fiber assets of Strome Networks.  Strome was created in August of 2016 from dark fiber assets that that were constructed in 2015 between Atlanta, GA and Miami, FL, an approximately 750-mile fiber network.  In addition to selling existing capacity along this route, he is identifying opportunities that the large domestic and international carriers require, along with the large content players, cable providers and large enterprise users.  Strome’s ability to identify and then construct off its existing network gives the company a great platform for expanding its current base of customers, while further enhancing its current dark fiber network.

Until December 2012, Nick was VP of Business Solutions for Bright House Networks, the 6th largest cable operator in the U.S.  Over the prior five years Mr. Lenoci was responsible for leading a senior group of communication and cable professionals, who grew the commercial revenue base to an annual revenue rate of over $280 million in 2012, up from $80 million in 2007.  Much of this growth has occurred during a very tumultuous period in the communication industry and in a super competitive pricing environment.  Much of the growth at Bright House was due to its rich dark fiber network in its territory.  Nick helped the company understand that various enterprises, school districts and municipalities needed high-levels of fiber services and much of the commercial growth was due to its fiber assets.  In addition, large business plans were developed to help the company expand its networks by building fiber to over 1,400 cell towers within Bright House’s Florida territory.  The sales to these carriers spearheaded great network expansion while becoming the largest customers for the commercial division.

Prior to joining Bright House Networks in November of 2007, Mr. Lenoci was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Looking Glass Networks where he helped grow revenue from $-0- in 2001 to over $80M when it was sold to Level 3 Communications.  Prior to that he was Regional Vice President of Sales and Operations for McLeod USA, where he lead a 500-person team.

Previously, Mr. Lenoci was the Chief Operating Officer at Ovation Communications before its acquisition by McLeod. He also spent several years at MFS Communications and subsequently WorldCom where he served in various capacities; including sales, operations, network implementation and finance.

Mr. Lenoci earned a Master degree of Business Administration and Finance from DePaul University. He received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
