Windermere Prep teams up with Sleep in Heavenly Peace Charity Over 100 Windermere Prep students, parents, faculty, and volunteers partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build 40 beds (20 bunks) on-site at Windermere Preparatory School

This past Saturday over 100 Windermere Prep students, parents, faculty, and volunteers partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build 40 beds (20 bunks) on-site at Windermere Preparatory School. The earliest arrivals checked in around 8:30am and immediately began removing staples and tags, prepping the lumber for assembly. In true high school fashion, the bulk of our attendees strolled in a little after 9:00am and a line of anxious volunteers quickly formed. 

This organization’s plans, coordination, and layout of the endeavor was impressive. Volunteers were needed to transport the lumber, mark the boards, saw pieces to size, sand until smooth, drill holes, assemble washers and lug screws, assemble and tighten frame to headboards, and brand the Sleep in Heavenly Peace logo at the end. Needless to say it was all hands on deck and a wonderful showing and team effort by our community for a wonderful cause.
