Veterans’ Day Ceremony

Monday, November 11, 2019, the WPS community will honor veterans during our annual Veterans’ Day Ceremony to be held in the gym. Each year, our students listen to presenters who provide them with perspectives about patriotism that invokes a spirit of pride for the men and women who have placed themselves in the line of duty in order to ensure that we all have the benefit of being here together. As the world quickly becomes smaller thanks to technology, we have been given the unique privilege of helping our students become more global-minded citizens. Through the efforts of these brave soldiers, we have the ability to learn together, collaborating in shared visions about what the world can be. Our very own Dr. Thomas Marcy, former Head of School, will deliver the address to honor veterans and remind us of the freedoms we must not take for granted. During the weekend and especially on November 11, we hope that you and your families will be able to reflect on the freedoms that we have as a result of the men and women who have served as well as all those who one day will serve. If you would like to watch the ceremony live, please follow this link on the morning of the event: The ceremony is set to begin at 9:00am.
