Staff Profile: Mr. J. Nicholls

Mr. J. Nicholls

Assistant Director, Nord Anglia University Asia

Mr. J. Nicholls is responsible for setting up an Asia centre for Nord Anglia University. He holds a Masters degree in Coaching and Mentoring Practice, and has run teaching, coaching and leadership workshops in nineteen countries across four continents.

In his educational career, Mr. Nicholls has managed an award winning Wellbeing Programme in the UK, as well as being a Headteacher, class teacher and Leadership Development Advisor for the National College of School Leadership. His work on school culture, resilience and leadership is known internationally.  Mr. Nicholls has co-authored books with Brian Tracy and Richard Branson, and presented at TEDx Reykjavik.


I am setting up an Asia centre for Nord Anglia University. The aim of the centre is to offer training opportunities for local and international teachers, and to extend the existing professional development provision for teaching staff within the school and also for the Nord Anglia schools in China.

Previously I was at The British International School Budapest responsible for the recruitment, training and performance management of over 1,000 teacher trainers, school consultants and evaluators throughout Africa, Europe and the Middle East for the International Baccalaureate.
