After graduating from the University of Manchester with a BA Hons in Politics and Modern History, Ms. Curtis worked as a learning support assistant in a primary school in West London. This experience inspired her to begin a career in teaching. After completing a PGCE at St Mary’s University Twickenham, Ms. Curtis spent 3 years teaching at two different inner-city London Schools. This provided her with an opportunity to teach children from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures.
Ms. Curtis believes that it is imperative that learning should be engaging and practical so that a love of learning is ignited in every pupil. She believes that it is important that positive values and an understanding of the wider world are discussed and developed in her classroom. This is so every individual is prepared for their future and ensures that they feel confident as global citizens in this ever-changing world.
During Mis. Curtis’ time in Hong Kong she has enjoyed all the opportunities that living in the City has provided her with. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dancing, eating out and going to the theatre.
