Dear Parents,
As we begin a new term, I would like to pause and express my sincere gratitude to our community. The close of last term reminded us of the power of collective action and the difference we can make when we work with intention and kindness.
I am pleased to share our thanks from the Royal British Legion Hong Kong and China Branch, following the school’s support of the Poppy Appeal. Before school started, on behalf of the school, I received a letter and certificate to express sentiments that I would like to share with you all.

Their letter speaks of how our community’s contributions were received with heartfelt gratitude and how such generosity helps to provide “compassionate care and support” for veterans, their families, and those who serve. They remind us that ‘the spirit of community and compassion demonstrated throughout the Poppy Appeal is testament to the shared values we hold dear’. This recognition belongs to our pupils, families, and staff, who demonstrated empathy in meaningful ways.
I would also like to extend a warm thank you to our PTA, who worked tirelessly to help organise the Christmas events across the school before the term break. These moments of joy, connection, and celebration were a highlight for many and strengthened the sense of belonging within our school community.
As we look ahead, this term offers fresh opportunities for purposeful engagement. I encourage all families to join us in intentionally making a difference through service, everyday acts of kindness, and thoughtful participation in school life such as our Health Month. Small actions, when rooted in care, can have a lasting impact.
We are excited for the learning, growth, and shared experiences ahead and look forward to continuing this journey together.
With gratitude and optimism,
Stephen Sharma
