Dear Parents,
Happy New Year and welcome to 2026!
We are excited to begin Term 2, a pivotal period for our students. Year 11 embarks on their mock examinations, while Year 13 students continue with their university applications and interviews — always an exciting yet demanding time of year.
To support all students, we are launching our Futures PSHCE Programme every Wednesday, focusing on wellbeing and equipping students with the skills to navigate adolescence with confidence and resilience.
Our Enrichment Programme also continues to offer valuable experiences beyond the classroom as we prepare for the Nord Anglia Tanzania Expedition, where students will take part in community projects and outdoor learning designed to build leadership and global citizenship. In addition, students from various year groups are proudly representing our school at the FOBISIA Swimming Division 2 Championship in Thanyapura, Phuket, Thailand. We wish them every success!
We look forward to a rewarding term ahead as we also come together to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year — embracing the energy, spirit, and forward momentum of the Year of the Horse as we inspire our students to keep striving towards their goals.
PSHCE at NAIS HK
We are delighted to announce the launch of our Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE) program for students in Years 7 to 11, starting this Wednesday! This important initiative will take place during Period 1 in Tutor Groups, fostering a supportive environment for our students.

The program is designed to cover a wealth of topics aimed at promoting the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of our students. This term, each year group will focus on specific themes: Year 7 will explore "Understanding Stress and Anxiety," Year 8 will delve into "Stress and Relaxation," Year 9 will focus on "Supporting Your Mental Health," Year 10 will learn about "Building Resilience," and Year 11 will tackle "Managing Exam Stress."
All lessons will align with the CASEL competencies and connect to our school values, ensuring a comprehensive and meaningful learning experience. We look forward to engaging your children in these vital discussions!

Upcoming Year 9 Pathways Discovery Event (Thursday 5th February) - Mr Ryan:
Dear Parents, I hope you’ve all had a wonderful and relaxing winter break. We are all very excited to commence Term 2 here at NAIS HK and continue supporting the Year 9 students in their IGCSE subject selection journey!
On Thursday 5th February we will host the Year 9 Pathways Discovery Event, which will take place on campus between 17:00-18:00pm. As much of the practical information relating to IGCSEs has already been distributed and is available to you, the focus of this event is to give you an opportunity to meet with the various Heads of Departments and learn more about the specific subject areas, what they entail at IGCSE level and will be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have to specific subject leads. A sign-up link will be shared with you shortly via email. It promises to be a very productive evening, and we look forward to seeing you there.
Looking Ahead
Best regards,
Fiona Thorndike
