Mr. R. Speed

R. Speed

Computing Teacher, Sandringham A House Tutor

Mr. Ryan Speed joins NAIS having previously taught in Year 3 at Medlock Primary School in Manchester, UK. At this school he held the position of Computing Coordinator and Educational Visits Coordinator (EVC) and had previous experience teaching in Year 4 and 5.

He completed his PGCE at Manchester University as well as a BA (Hons) and MA in English Literature from the University of Lancaster. He has also taught English in Japan and loves combining his teaching with travels.

I love teaching science and computing; subjects that inspire children’s curiosity about the world and our futures.

In my previous school I championed a team of student digital leaders. We promoted computer sciences in school and held regular coding clubs, minecraft hubs and even won a few computers for our school.

I love to travel and working in Hong Kong is a fantastic opportunity to explore new parts of the world. In my spare time I love to keep fit and exercise, listen to a wide range of music and read a good novel or comic book.
