Secondary Campus Weekly Update 22 Jun 2026 - Secondary Campus Weekly Update 22 Jun 2026

Dear Parents,

As we come to the end of the academic year, I would like to celebrate the many achievements of our school community.

Our inaugural Legacy Awards provided a wonderful opportunity to recognise not only academic success, but also the lasting impact students have made through their values and contributions. It was a truly inspiring event, followed by a well-deserved ice cream treat kindly provided by our PTA.

Throughout the year, students have embraced opportunities such as fieldwork, enrichment experiences, and sporting activities with enthusiasm and resilience. These moments bring learning to life and strengthen our community.

Thank you to our students, staff, and families for your continued support. I wish everyone a restful summer break and look forward to the year ahead.

Legacy Awards and Treats!

Secondary Campus Weekly Update 22 Jun 2026 - Secondary Campus Weekly Update 22 Jun 2026

Last Thursday was a day of celebration across our school campus!

Firstly, we were delighted to have hosted our inaugural Legacy Awards—the first of their kind in our school. It was a fantastic, student-centred event to celebrate and recognised not only exceptional achievement and progress, but also the lasting legacy students have left across the academic year.

We were particularly proud to honour those who consistently demonstrated our core values in all aspects of school life. The Legacy Awards provided a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the positive impact our students have made within our community, setting an inspiring example for others.

Following our awards celebration, students were treated to some delicious ice cream, courtesy of our wonderful PTA. A well-deserved and very much appreciated treat!

We extend our warmest congratulations to all recipients and heartfelt thanks to the PTA and our families for their continued support.

Geography Field Trip Reflection – Mr. Goodson

Secondary Campus Weekly Update 22 Jun 2026 - Secondary Campus Weekly Update 22 Jun 2026

The Year 12 Geography field trip offered students a valuable opportunity to bring their classroom learning to life through hands-on investigation of urban stresses in Hong Kong. Beginning at Queen’s Road, Central, and concluding at Victoria Peak, students collected data across eight carefully selected sites, exploring variations in environmental quality, noise levels, pedestrian activity, among other aspects. This journey through contrasting land uses allowed them to better understand how urban stress changes across the city and the factors that influence it.

Ms Berry and I were particularly impressed by the students’ enthusiasm, focus, and perseverance throughout the day. Despite wet weather conditions, they remained fully engaged in their data collection and demonstrated excellent teamwork and resilience. Their positive attitude and commitment to the task were commendable, and the experience has undoubtedly strengthened both their fieldwork skills and their understanding of the challenges of managing urban environments in a high-density global city.

Students will now begin collating their data as a class and will spend time over the summer presenting their findings in a variety of ways. This process will give them the strongest possible foundation for success in their Geography Internal Assessments.

Sports Updates – Miss. Wiltshire

Swim Squad Trials – Information for Parents
Students who are interested in joining next year’s Knights Swim Squad are invited to attend our swim trials in August:

  • 50m events: Wednesday 19 August, 2:30–4:30 pm
  • 100m events: Thursday 20 August, 3:30–4:30 pm

If your child would like to try out, please ensure they register at the PE office.
Registration closes on 24 June 2026.

To be selected for the squad, swimmers must meet specific time standards, so attending the trials is essential. We encourage students to enter more than one stroke and to attempt both 50m and 100m distances, as squad members are expected to compete in multiple events for the team.

Following the trials in August, we will contact your child to confirm whether they have qualified for the Knights Swim Squad.
