What are The Village School’s admissions requirements?

To join our private school in Houston, you’ll need to meet our admissions requirements. These vary by grade level and frequently include testing requirements, interviews, transcripts, and teacher recommendations. See Entry Requirements for more information.

What do I need to submit for the application?

You need the completed online application form, the $200.00 non-refundable application fee, and a copy of applicant’s birth certificate or passport.

Can I apply for admission throughout the school year?

Yes, we provide open enrollment based on availability.

Do you offer bus service?

Yes, we offer a luxury bus service for an additional fee throughout the Houston area. For more information, visit Bus Service and Transportation. New bus routes are added based on demand.

Do you offer before or after-school care?

Yes, we offer before and after-school care along with a variety of extracurricular activities. Please visit our After Class Enrichment (ACE) page for details.

ADMISSIONS DEADLINES

The Village School has a priority application deadline of January 15th. Please submit your application and all required documents by this date for priority consideration of admission.

Students who receive an offer of admission must complete enrollment steps by the priority reply date of March 25th to secure their spot as space allows.

Relocating/Non-Local Families

We understand moving internationally or across the country can present unique challenges. To best support you, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible. Once received, an enrollment officer will personally reach out to assist you. Our team is happy to facilitate interviews and meetings online to accommodate your circumstances.

Texas Education Freedom Accounts
The Village School will accept Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) vouchers for eligible families beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
Families interested in applying should monitor announcements from the Texas state government regarding eligibility, application timelines and requirements.

Please note:

Acceptance of a voucher does not change The Village School’s admissions process.
Families may still apply for additional financial aid through our standard process. Our financial aid program is not affected by the voucher system.
While we will accept vouchers from families who qualify, we are not able to assist with the state’s application process.
