A Level Results 2016/17
The class of 2017 achieved above national average grades:
- 52% of grades between A* and A
- 81% of grades between A* and B
- 88% of grades between A* and C
One student received 4 A* grades, including 100% in Mathematics.
As with the (I)GCSEs, this is an increase on last year’s results and is testimony to the hard work and determination of ISM students.
Paul Keach, Headteacher, said; “Our students’ A Level results are a fitting testimony to the dedication and hard work that they have displayed in abundance over the course of the last two academic years. Our students have given themselves a fantastic start on their career ladder by not only achieving such impressive grades but also by being awarded places at such prestigious universities all over the world.”
Most students secured their first choice places at universities including St Andrews, Kings College, London, NYU and The University of Amsterdam, to name a few.
Dean Moore, Head of Secondary School and Upper Campus, said; "I am extraordinarily proud of our Year 13 graduates. Their results are a testament to their dedication and motivation. For me, the most pleasing aspect, aside from their excellent results, is that the vast majority of graduates have secured their first choice at some of the world's best universities. On behalf of everyone here on the Upper Campus of The International School of Moscow, I wish them the very best for the future."
Adding his congratulations, John Staerck, Head of Sixth Form, said; "I am extremely proud of our 2017 graduates with over half (52%), achieving A* to A. ISM graduates achieved an average score of 48 which puts us amongst the top 40 schools in the UK. With all of our graduates heading to university, 83% of our students have gained places at leading research universities in the UK, America and Europe."
