Last Friday saw Dover Fins hold the first swim meet for its  own members. Each swimmer was able to select the events they wished to compete in as well as the distance. There was no timing on this occasion. The emphasis was about participation & gaining experience in swimming against others. The finale was to have been The 1-minute Butterfly Challenge.

It also allowed us to show off our lovely new pool accessories: diving blocks, lane ropes & warning flags. Yippee! The meet was followed by a feast cake, fruit & jaffa cakes. This was somewhat earlier than planned due to the inevitable thunder & lightning.

Never mind, I plan to hold these events regularly so I hope we will get to the end of the programme next time. Keep training!

Finally, a huge thank you to all who attended, participated & contributed to the feast. Much, much appreciated by all.
