10 January 2019

Dover Court International School's Under 14 boys football team hosted YBIS for a great game yesterday.

Yuvabharathi International School turned up early and were ready for the game. They were quick to react and strong all over the pitch. Dover were more comfortable on the ball, but it took us a while to adjust to YBIS's physicality. A patient build up down the right wing and cut-back from Anthony for Bailey to finish put us 1-0 in the lead. YBIS equalised with some direct play straight through our back line, which was causing us a few problems during the first half. Leo came on from the bench and his quick reaction to a through ball from Lukas led to us again going into the lead 2-1. A tactical talking to at half-time meant that Dover controlled the second half with good passing and ball control. There were plenty of chances including a goal mouth scramble where the ball hit the bar and with Rafi causing lots of problems down the right flank. We finally got our third goal late on in the game when Lukas came back off the bench, in a new position up front and finish nicely from Bailey's deep through ball. A great team performance against difficult opposition, well done boys!
