Victoria Hughes

Physical Education Teacher - Dance Specialist

Vicki graduated from the De Montfort University with a BA (hons) in Dance in 2007. She earned her PGCE from the University of Sunderland.

Vicki’s love for dance led her to develop and lead different projects in and around her home town of Manchester, UK, teaching many genres to a vast number of people of all ages and backgrounds. A connection from DMU took her to the wonderful and exciting world of Shanghai, China. Here she led a successful dance programme for an expat coaching company that linked with international schools in and around the city.

Her experiences in the international school environment led Vicki to pursuing her PGCE through the University of Sunderland, while teaching Junior School PE.

Vicki joins Dover Court from the Western International School Shanghai where she has been developing her knowledge of Primary PE for the last four years. At WISS, she has worked to strengthened collaboration and the connection between in-classroom learning and the PE curriculum. Her school dance company has grown to 70 students from age 5-15yrs and she is excited to continue the development of dance at Dover Court.
