SISAC Cross Country Championships

03 March 2016

The annual SISAC Cross Country Championships were held at the Saigon South Golf Club on Tuesday 1 March.

BIS took a strong team, with some late additions (Justin Chu and Georgia Smith) valiantly joining the ranks due to late pull outs from a large number of BIS runners.

The 3.3km U14 and 4.4km U19 races proved to be difficult propositions in the mid morning heat. However, a great team effort from the U14 girls brought home the first place trophy, with the majority of our 6 girls finishing in the top 10.

A solid performance from Max Jencks got him 2nd place in the boys event. In the U19 event, Rui and  Jun scored 1st and 2nd place respectively for an overall 2nd place team result and the performance of the day has to go to Carl (Y9) who ran up in the U19 race and finished in second place. U14 girls 1st, U14 boys 2nd, U19 Girls 2nd and U19 Boys 3rd.
