The Year 1 and 2 Sports Day was held on Thursday, 22nd November. After a typhoon stricken weekend, thankfully the weather was perfect for the F2 and F3 Sports Day on Tuesday, 27th November and F1 Physical Development Activity on Wednesday, 28th November. The Sports Day ceremonial openings were ecstatic moments; Years 1 and 2 opened with the balloon bearing procession and the F2 and F3 was opened by the flag bearers representing each of the house teams.
The children had a great time, showing off their individual skills and their determination and willingness to participate. The children worked very hard, tried their very best and competed in their house teams within their classes in all events. The competition was intense but what made the event great was the perseverance and sportsmanship the children have shown at an early age. This day was also made special with the presence of many parents and carers, who enthusiastically watched, cheered loudly and supported the children.
The Early Years and Infant Sports Days are not merely about competition or sports events, but about the fun, excitement, support, encouragement and cooperation of each and every child, teacher, parent and carer taking part. Thank you to all parents and carers, who joyfully came along.
Congratulations to all House Teams. You made us all very proud.
Mr. Richard, PE Teacher
