Challenged with starting a new fashion, groups of children were tasked with dressing a model who then paraded the new look on the catwalk. Judges decided which designs deserved our esteemed fashion awards. Certificates were awarded to groups for various categories including ‘Best Accessorized’, ‘International’, ‘Weird and Wonderful’ and ‘New Ideas’.
It was wonderful to see children collaborate and take risks with their ideas in the making stages. It is also worth pointing out that the new looks were created from unwanted items which we recycled in a bid to be environmentally friendly. Well done to the models who showcased the looks with great confidence. All classes received certificates for their efforts but 4M had the overall winning look, modelled by Bob. Well done, 4M.
Children are now looking forward to learning about the history of fashion before designing their own futuristic fashions with built in super-powers inspired by NAE’s collaboration with MIT University.
