The SISAC football season kicked off this week with our first friendly fixtures in preparation for the City Championships in May.

We selected 3 teams (2 boys and 1 girls) from our Wednesday general football club which is run by Mr Matt, Mr Rob, Mr John, Mr Andy and Mr Eoin.

The girls played away at ISHCMC whilst the boys were at home. A very high standard and a lot of effort were on display in all fixtures. See below for the scores and the highlights from the girls match. In the coming weeks more students from Wednesday general football club will get the chance to play fixtures before we select the teams to represent BIS HCMC at the City Championships.

BOYS A: BIS 1-2 ISHCMC         BOYS B: BIS 1-1 ISHCMC           GIRLS:  BIS 2-4 ISHCMC

U11 and U9 Girls - Match Report

The BIS HCMC girls from Year 4 and Year 5 competed in a football game against Year 5 and 6 students from ISHCMC Primary School. They were up against older, bigger and stronger girls, however BIS were not intimidated by the opposition.

In the scorching hot weather, BIS girls worked tirelessly attacking the ball creating numerous goal scoring opportunities as well as fighting hard in defence to stop the ball from getting past our awesome goal keeper Ming Yoon. The final score in the first half was 4-1 to ISHCMC which did disappoint the girls. However, after a motivating team talk and a quick rest the girls got back on the pitch with a determined attitude - they were not ready to give up. After the first goal was scored by Emma in the first half, this helped to lift the team spirit . Shortly after, Amelie scored another in the second half making it 4-2. With perseverance and great team work the girls managed to stop ISHCMC from scoring any goals in the second half. At full time the final score remained 4-2 to ISHCMC. Despite this loss, BIS girls played like winners and should be very proud of their performance.

Well done girls!
