Year 5 Visit Hoi An

20 March 2018

What an amazing time Year 5 classes have had in Hoi An. Over two weeks, all 7 classes visited Hoi An as part of the annual residential trip.

During their time in Hoi An, the children participated in a variety of activities. These included: lantern making, modelling clay toys and vases, abseiling at Marble Mountain, farming using traditional methods, cooking Banh Xiao and visiting My Son Holy Land. The trip offered the children an insight in to the culture and history of Vietnam. In addition, the children were able to let their hair down and relax in the pool at the hotel – well-deserved after a long day exploring, and at the disco on the final night.

The children were extremely resilient, trying new things and pushing themselves outside their comfort zones, and supportive of each other. We were very proud of them all throughout the trips.

Year 5 would like to say a huge thank you to the staff at Phat Tires, who organised yet another fabulous trip that the children will remember for a long time to come.
