Community Service Term 2 Hummingbird Award Winners

11 May 2018

A big congratulations goes to Bao Tram in Year 1 and Ida Maya in Year 6, the winners of the Hummingbird Medal Award for Term 2.

  • Term 2 Infants Bao Tram
  • Term 2 Juniors Ida Maya

Bao Tram had a warm and caring nature towards the visitors from Binh Trieu in Get Together Learn Together Club. She always invited them to join in activities with her and could be overheard sharing giggles with her new friends. Bao Tram was also a caring friend towards the children from Thien Phuoc, who came to have playdates with the Year 1 classes. She tried her best to discover what the children enjoyed doing and found ways to join in with those activities. Way to go, Bao Tram!

Ida Maya was noted by more than one teacher as a student with a great deal of interest in the gibbons and other endangered animals during the Year 6 trip to Cat Tien National Park. She showed empathy and care during the entire EAST project. Excellent work, Ida Maya!

We would also like to applaud all the students from Primary who were recognised by their teachers and club leaders for excellence in Community Service in Term 2:
