Alongside that musical treat was also the musical assemblies and evening summer term performances. I was so proud to see and listen to so many of the younger children in school performing with skill and confidence. A huge well done to everyone in Year 3 that performed.
Year 3 are now well into their ‘Rainforest’ topic and have continued to add new learning to the rainforest in the ELC. Recently, children have been considering reasons why deforestation occurs and what we can all do to reduce our impact on its fragile ecosystem. In order to help, Year 3 will be holding a Rainforest Café next Wednesday from 2:00 – 3:00 in the ELC. Each class has been designing and making Jungle Juices that will be sold alongside tasty cakes. We hope to raise money to adopt baby orang-utans that can be cared for and then released into protected areas of forest where hopefully they will thrive.
Year 3 would welcome all members of the BIS HCMC school community to pop into the Rainforest Café at the end of the day on Wednesday. Please come and see their amazing work, eat tasty cakes, drink refreshing drinks and save a baby orang-utan.
